Our current charges for open training courses can be viewed here and are tiered according to the income of organisation so that our training is accessible for all sizes of charities and community groups or others associated with the sector. We run regular half day, full day and two day courses all over Essex for your staff, volunteers, trustees and committee members or we can come up with a course tailored to your charity’s needs and deliver it in house.

Working with Vulnerable Clients

Are you a Support Worker helping vulnerable clients? Do you want to improve your skills? Then don’t miss our new training course taking place on 6th June 2018 in Chelmsford. The course aims to support voluntary organisations by helping them provide an effective & professional service to their clients and will cover setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries, how and where we might refer or signpost clients to other services if needed and good practice guidelines and organisational policy when faced with issues such as mental health, aggressive behaviour, confidentiality and other challenges….read more and book >

First Aid training

If your organisation needs training in first aid, then don’t miss these two Emergency First Aid at Work courses coming up soon. The first takes place on Tuesday 12th June at CAVS in Benfleet  and the second on Saturday 14th July in Tiptree – ideal if you have volunteers who normally work elsewhere in the week. You’ll get a working knowledge of first aid and an accredited qualification at the same time too.

Our next series of our popular Gateway Qualifications accredited Volunteer Management course starts soon. Recruiting Volunteers takes place on 21st June and Supporting, Developing & Managing Volunteers on 27th September. Make sure you book your place now.

Low costs

We know times are tough. We work hard to get funding to subsidise the costs of our training for charities and community groups from a range of sources. As A Non-for-Profit, all funds are invested to support the sector.

Our history

We were established in 1999 thanks to a Lottery grant to provide training in Uttlesford. Since then, we’ve expanded all over Essex and beyond and delivered over 2,000 courses supporting well over 21,000 people. We merged with Community360 on 1st September 2017 and will continue to offer an enhanced and sustainable training programme for the voluntary and community sector in Essex.
