This one day, level 2 accredited course will provide delegates with a better understanding of dementia itself, as well as an awareness of the causes, symptoms and impacts of dementia.

- Understand dementia and models of dementia and the areas of the brain that are affected by dementia
- Know types of dementia and their causes
- Understand an individual’s experiences of dementia
- Explore the impact of dementia and attitudes towards individuals with dementia
This course is accredited by Gateway qualifications. Delegates will be expected to complete a workbook on the day which will be assessed by the trainer. Delegates must provide personal details ahead of the course for the Gateway registration – this will be requested by email by VST after booking.
