Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Aim and Benefits

The Level 3 Award is an introduction to the education and training sector, delivered by an expert educator with 15 years’ experience. The AET is knowledge-based with no practical minimum teaching practice required, which means that it is suitable for those who are not currently in a teaching role. Our course is delivered in the classroom, not online, so you get the benefit of interacting with your peers, and it can be delivered outside of the usual academic year structure, meaning you don’t have to wait till September to take your qualification. The class will be small, between 8 – 12 people, so you will get plenty of individualised attention.

Outcomes

  • Module 1: Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training (H/505/0053)
  • Module 2: Understanding Assessment in Education and Training (R/505/0050)
  • Module 3: Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training (D/505/0052)

Entry and Achievement Requirements

All learners MUST attend all sessions, do all required reading and independent research and all modules need to be completed. Learners cannot achieve their qualification without completing all their workbooks to the required standard, and missing the microteach sessions will result in instant failure. Although learners do not have to have any qualifications to join the course, it is recommended that their English skills are at level 2 (this will be assessed before the course begins), and that they have a ‘specialist subject’. It is not necessary but beneficial for learners to use a laptop during sessions.

A MINIMUM OF 8 PEOPLE IS REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE TO RUN.
