This exciting new one day, level 2 accredited course will provide delegates with a better understanding of dementia itself, as well as an awareness of the causes, symptoms and impacts of dementia.
What We’ll Cover
- Understand dementia and models of dementia and the areas of the brain that are affected by dementia
- Know types of dementia and their causes
- Understand an individual’s experiences of dementia
- Explore the impact of dementia and attitudes towards individuals with dementia
This course is accredited by Gateway qualifications. Delegates will be expected to complete a workbook on the day which will be assessed by the trainer. Delegates must provide personal details ahead of the course for the Gateway registration – this will be requested by email by VST after booking.

Training room is on ground floor. An accessibility lift is in place to bypass the very small number of steps. Ramp outside as well.
If you are late for the course and it is clear that the course has already started, press the CSVU button on the intercom and a staff member will come downstairs and take you to the room where the course is running.
